Savory Summer

Today I had a craving for pasta but with the heat wave still in full swing I hesitated whether a pasta marinara meal was worth it. Then I remembered my girlfriend Denise's lemon basil pasta. It's a great summer dish because it's fresh, simple, & savory.

Ingredients:
Lemon Juice 1 Tbs
Olive Oil 1 Tbs
Flaxseed Oil 1 Tbs
Basil 1 package chopped (I used fresh leaves from my garden)
Salt 1/4 Tsp
Angle Hair Pasta serving for two
Garlic 3 cloves roasted
Cherry Tomatoes 1/2 cup
Parmesan Cheese 1/4 cup
Grapeseed Oil 1 Tsp

Mix lemon juice, olive oil, flaxseed oil, basil, and salt in a small bowl and set aside. Meanwhile bring water to a boil and place pasta in for 3-5 minutes. Put grape seed oil and garlic in a small frying pan and turn to a low heat until golden, then mix garlic in with the basil sauce. Place the roasted garlic in with the basil sauce. Use the remaining oil to heat the tomatoes, cover the pan. Rinse the pasta with warm water, drizzle the basil sauce over the pasta and sprinkle parmesan cheese before serving and ENJOY!
